MX450STA Automatic core cutter

The Mx450STA is an automatic machine designed for cutting thick cardboard cores and can work with tubes from a diameter of 70 mm up to 400 mm. The machine’s wide working range is achieved by always keeping the blade in the same position and rotating the core on special rollers. Core positioning and cutting are automatically managed via PLC, the operator selects total length and number and length of the pieces to be cut.

Core rotation is by means of three rollers. Two are positioned on the machine table and are motorized with a gear motor, the third roller is idle and is installed on a moving head that descends vertically on the core. The head is driven by a pneumatic piston and slides on linear guides.
